Make your voice count on matters that shape our world

60th Anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

This August 6th and 9th mark the 60th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that killed more than a quarter million people. Commemorative events will be held at major nuclear weapons labs and in communities across the country.

Lawrence Livermore Labs in northern California is one of the premier nuclear weapons labs in the nation, playing a key role in the Bush administration’s efforts to reinvigorate the US nuclear arsenal.

Join us in Livermore on Saturday, August 6 th from 5-8pm for Seeds of Change, an afternoon of music, speakers, children’s activities and community protest. Express your desire for the US to be a positive leader toward a nuclear-free world. The afternoon will culminate in a half-mile march to the Lab.

Please remember to bring adequate drinking water and sun protection. Even though the event is in the early evening, it will probably be hot and sunny. This is a nonviolent community event.
