Some members of Congress have displayed the vision to lead Congress to the ultimate goal—bringing our troops home from Iraq. It is important to recognize when our representatives take a stand and show positive leadership.

Call the Congressional switchboard at 1-800-614-2803 and ask for your representative or senator. 

Once connected, you can leave a message with a staff person or in a voice mailbox.  Use the sample message below as a guide. 

SAMPLE MESSAGE:

“My name is _____________________ and I live in Senator/Representative ________________’s district.  My address is _______________________.  I am calling to thank him/her for taking leadership against the war by cosponsoring _______________.  It is time for Congress to take binding action to rein in the President’s reckless foreign policy.  I would also like to urge Rep./Sen. _____________ to support restrictions on the supplemental funding request that would bring our troops home.”
