Event: The Path Towards Zero Nuclear Weapons Print E-mail

2007 began with a call from former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, former Senator Sam Nunn, former Defense Secretary William Cohen and other former government officials calling on the U.S. to embrace the vision of a “world free of nuclear weapons”.  This was followed by a Bush administration request for significant funds for the development of a new generation of nuclear weapons, and a push for a new nuclear weapons factory.

For the first time since the end of the Cold War, nuclear weapons hold center stage for the public and policymakers.  It’s critical that those of us working to stop their spread have all the facts.  Please join Peace Action West for two important events we’re cosponsoring in the coming months: "The Path Towards Zero Nuclear Weapons" in Walnut Creek, CA and "A New Hydrogen Bomb?" in Los Angeles.
