Slideshow: Your life in the decade of war

I was in college just getting a start in activism with my first political internship, working to end slavery in Sudan. Now I'm 8 years into a job leading lobbying and organizing to end these wars. - Rebecca

Do you think that 10 years of war in Afghanistan is 10 years too long? We do! That's why we are making a slideshow to document what a decade at war really means.

Since the war started, babies have grown into pre-teens. The phrase "OMG" is now in the dictionary. And kids barely old enough to remember the start of the war have packed up to go and fight it.

Whether yours is a story about war, or just about life, here's your chance to share it.

1. Choose two images. One that represents your life as it was 10 years ago, and one that shows your life today. It could be two photos of you, or a couple pencil sketches, or photos of objects from around your house, etc. Be as creative and out there as you like, or just keep it simple.

2. Caption your story. Write up to 200 characters telling your story of how your life has changed.

3. Submit your story here. We'll make sure the public, the press and Congress see it, and get the message.
